- The dedication of a street named “Calle Aiko y Sachiko” after the two Japanese Peruvian 10-year-old girls who tragically drowned at the camp swimming pool.
- The display of the Enemy Alien Files: Hidden Stories of WWII exhibit, which presents the little-known stories of over 31,000 immigrant residents and citizens of German, Italian, and Japanese ancestry — of the U.S. and seized from Latin America — imprisoned as “enemy aliens” during WWII.
